Barry S. White is one of the founding partners of Frommer Lawrence & Haug LLP. He practices in the area of intellectual property law, including patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, unfair competition and related antitrust matters.

Mr. White's practice focuses upon litigation, counseling, opinion and agreement work. He has represented clients in state and federal trial courts and in various federal appeals courts. Mr. White has particular expertise in the interaction among the patent and FDA laws in the drug-approval process relating to ANDA filings under the Hatch-Waxman amendments to the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act.

Mr. White is an active member of local and national bar associations such as the American Bar Association (Litigation and Intellectual Property Sections), the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the New York Intellectual Property Law Association (Committee on Antitrust, Inequitable Conduct and Misuse; Committee on Publications), the Federal Circuit Bar Association, and the International Trademark Association. He has published in various media, including the Journal of Commercial Biotechnology.

Mr. White received a B.S. degree in Chemistry and English from Dickinson College in 1984 and a law degree from the George Washington University in 1989.

Prior to the founding of Frommer Lawrence & Haug LLP, Mr. White was a partner in the law firm of Curtis Morris & Safford, P.C. He joined that firm as an associate in 1989 and was made a partner in 1994.
