Deborah Lu, Ph.D. is an associate in the New York office of Frommer Lawrence & Haug.

Dr. Lu prepares and prosecutes biomedical and biotechnological patent applications and manages patent portfolios. She also prepares freedom-to-operate, invalidity and patentability analyses and litigates patent and trademark cases.

Dr. Lu received a B.S. in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Biochemistry from Cornell University, and an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from the University of Michigan. She was a post-doctoral fellow in Microbiology at Harvard Medical School and Structural Biology at the Skirball Institute of Biomolecular Medicine at the New York University Medical Center.

Dr. Lu graduated from Fordham University School of Law. She is a member of the New York State Bar and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. District Court, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
